Powell Ag Tire is a locally owned tire and automotive service business in Scottsville, Kentucky, run by Dustin Powell.
The work
Start with the farm side. Dustin goes directly into the field to repair and service tractor tires, and does the same repair and replacement work at the shop. Skid steer tires, wagon tires and liquid ballast for tractor tires are part of it too, because a lot of the farmers around here run skid steers and wagons.
At the shop, the work is cars and trucks: tires, Road Force balancing, front-end alignment, steering, suspension, struts, tie rods, brakes and oil changes. And semi tires as well.
The business was formerly Cedar Springs Tire & Auto Services.
Why it is calls only
Dustin runs the business himself. A day can mean shop work and then a tractor tire in a field that evening, so there is no inbox to answer: the phone is how to reach him. It is a landline with an answering machine. If he is out on a call, leave a message or call back.

Both. Tractor tires are repaired and replaced on the farm, where the tractor sits, and the same work is done at the shop in Scottsville. Cars and trucks are worked on at the shop.
Do you work on semi tires?
Yes. Call with the tire size, whether it is a steer, drive or trailer tire, and how many you need.
Do you do engine or transmission work?
No. The shop works on tires, brakes, alignment, steering, suspension, struts and tie rods, and does oil changes. Engine and transmission work is not something it takes on.
